Recently I have found myself competing in competition after competition. Whether it's film, photography or art, it seems something is always going on. The latest competition that has caught my eye is the Weekly Hashtag Project put out by Instagram every week. In this challenge Instagram asks users of their media to take a photo inspired by that weeks challenge. If you "win" you are featured on Instagram's very own blog. The challenges are fun and inspiring. They get you thinking. Last weeks challenge was #WHPdoubletake. For this challenge we were to explore "twins" and their similarities and differences. I took several photos inspired by this challenge but these two were by far my favorites.
For the caption of this photograph I couldn't decide between "Nautical Nonsense Be Something You Wish." and "Hook, Line, and Sinker." Either way I have to admit that I just adore bookends.
I don't have super clever captions for this photo. All I could think to explain it was, "A King is Nothing Without his Pawns." All in all it was a fun challenge! I look forward to the next challenge that comes my way!
